Welcome to Samaritans of Solihull.

Opened in 1974, the Solihull branch celebrated its 50th year in 2024. All of the services and support we offer is provided by volunteers, who are there for people when they need a safe place to talk.
Over these 50 years, we have provided support to and forged vital links within the community.
Our outreach volunteers are regular visitors at local schools and workplaces, providing training and spreading the word about the vital work carried out by Samaritans.
What we do
Provide emotional support all year round by phone, email, and web chat for those struggling or in crisis, including those who are feeling suicidal.
Support a population of over 200,000 in Solihull and surrounding areas.
Work in partnership with local organisations to raise awareness of mental health and suicide prevention.
Carry out a variety of outreach, information, and fundraising events.
How you can help
Donate to our branch, every penny helps our callers.
Become a volunteer at the Solihull branch. We need both listening and support volunteers.
