Welcome to Samaritans of Farnborough & District. We’ve been supporting our local community since 1978, working towards a world where fewer people die by suicide.
We offer a safe place to talk if you are feeling emotionally distressed or are having a difficult time and need to talk things through in a confidential and safe environment. No judgment and no advice, just a conversation about how you are feeling. We are here for anyone who needs someone, especially in a time of crisis. You don’t have to be suicidal to call Samaritans, you can get in touch about anything that’s troubling you, no matter how large or small the issue feels.
History of Farnborough & District Samaritans
Our branch of Samaritans opened in 1978 in the old police station in Alexandra Road, North Camp. We have moved a few times throughout the years, but have always been available to those who need us - we have been in Farnborough Road since 1997.

Outreach at Farnborough & District Samaritans
We work hard to reach out to high risk groups to reduce the risk of suicide and are dedicated to working within our local community to promote our services, such as:
- Schools - visiting local schools and colleges to talk to pupils and staff about emotional health and how they can support each other.
- Military - our volunteers attend health fairs and events with the British Army.
- The Homeless - we run drop-in sessions at local homeless shelters.
- Local Companies - we visit local organisations and community groups.
If you would like us to attend any of your events or would like us to support you in any way, please see - Outreach at Farnborough & District Samaritans - for more information and contact details.
