Who is this course for?
Anyone whose role may bring them into direct contact with people who have suicidal feelings should attend this course.
Suicide is a complex and emotional subject. It can be something many people find difficult or distressing to talk about.
Yet the more we develop our understanding of why people die by suicide, the better we can provide emotional support to people at risk–as individuals, as organisations and as a society–and even save lives.
Managing suicidal conversations will equip participants with the skills and confidence to manage a conversation with someone who is having thoughts of suicide or showing signs of suicidal behaviour.

What past participants have to say:
“The trainer was an exceptional facilitator. Very engaging and was able to create balance of talking about a very serious topic, while checking in with everyone and keeping the atmosphere as light as possible. He gave case studies and allowed us to demonstrate the knowledge we already know around the topic and build upon that. He was passionate and had a wealth of experience to share.”

“The trainer was amazing throughout the session, she was very patient with everyone and incorporated different learning styles for different individuals. Really informative and open and the session was engaging”
“He has helped me feel more confident with managing these conversations and gave us useful resources and skills to take away so we can put these into practice in our day to day line of work.”
