It’s official! Samaritans is the first charity working across the UK and Ireland to be chosen for Jacksepticeye’s annual fundraising event, Thankmas.
The livestreamed event will bring together gaming and streaming fans from across the world, with the hopes of raising millions for Samaritans and US charity Crisis Text Line, to support those struggling with their mental health.
What is Thankmas?
Thankmas is an annual fundraising event created by the popular YouTuber Sean McLoughlin, known as Jacksepticeye.
With more than 55 million followers across social media, Jacksepticeye is passionate about leveraging his platform for positive change and is excited to help raise crucial funds for mental health support.
The theme for this year’s fundraising event is mental health. The event aims to raise funds for Samaritans and Crisis Text Line, to help provide 24/7 support for those struggling to cope.
Anyone who follows my channel, or even in passing, knows I talk a lot about mental health awareness and self care. Having support and helping provide it is something very important to me, so Samaritans and Crisis Text Line felt like the perfect fit for Thankmas this year.
