Standard Life
Samaritans and Standard Life have a shared belief in providing the best support to people with financial worries. In winter 2022, Standard Life ran a cause campaign in support of Samaritans winter campaign on social media and in the press. This raised £50k through a £5 donation for every like on social media.
Other highlights:
- In 2022 Phoenix Group’s brand Standard Life became a founding partner of Samaritans Training School – helping us train more volunteers.
- We co-created a new listening wheel E-Learning module for the Standard Life Vulnerable Customer Team to support their commitment to listening to customers, responding with empathy and caring in the moments that matter. In July 2023, this project won the Most Innovative Agency Partner category at the Awards for Innovation and Transformation at the Financial Services Forum.
- Sharing time and skills is also a key part of the charity partnership, to ensure everyone is listened to when they face challenging times. As part of this, Standard Life teams have attended Samaritans Training and Engagement Programmes (STEP) courses.
Three UK
Samaritans and Three have a shared belief in the life-changing power and possibility of human connection to make our lives better every day. Three is leveraging its technology, retail stores and expertise to help more people access emotional support, 24/7, 365 days a year.
- In 2022 Three and Samaritans’ Better Phone Friend campaign picked up three awards at the Corporate Engagement Awards, highlighting the amazing team work that went into creating a truly impactful campaign.
- In 2023, Three teamed up with Chelsea FC to encourage football fans to open up about their mental health through the #TalkMoreThanFootball campaign. The campaign had a total media reach of 298 million.
- Three has been the official sponsor of Samarathon since 2021.
In The Style
In The Style’s iconic 'Be Kind' collection, which includes a range of hoodies and t-shirt designs encouraging others to 'be kind', launched as a fundraising initiative for Samaritans in February 2020 and the partnership has continued through 2023. The collection was launched in honour of TV presenter Caroline Flack.
Highlights:
- The fundraising initiative has so far raised an incredible amount of over £800,000 for Samaritans.
- The campaign has been supported by popular social media influencers such a Charlotte Crosby and Jac Jossa.
- Featured in OK!, The Mirror, Metro and Mail Online.
