Right now, someone is reaching out to Samaritans for help, and our dedicated volunteers are there to listen —without judgment or pressure. For those who don’t feel able to have these conversations with friends or family, Samaritans offers a safe space to open up about difficult feelings.

Last winter, our volunteers answered almost 250,000 calls for help.

A single call, email or message can make all the difference. It could mean a parent still giving their child a comforting hug, someone having their best friend to confide in, or a person having the chance to grow old with their partner.
