Version 1 are proud to be supporting Samaritans, to help support anyone who is struggling to cope.
Version 1’s Community First initiative provides support to their local communities through fundraising, sponsorship and volunteering to ensure that no one gets left behind and that the company is making a real difference. Samaritans are proud to be the chosen charity partner of Version 1 England who have generously donated over £48,000 so far throughout the partnership.
Our three-year partnership began in 2023 and combines a range of fundraising activities and volunteering. Version 1 colleagues have taken part in some fantastic fundraisers so far to raise vital funds for Samaritans; including Steve who ran the Royal Parks Half Marathon in 2023, a team carnival day and summer BBQ at the Birmingham Office.
"Version 1 are proud to extend our partnership with Samaritans for a second year through our groupwide CSR initiative, ‘Community First.’ Funded by colleague salary sacrifice and matched by Version 1, Community First enables us to support Samaritans’ vital work. We’re excited to continue this partnership, support their incredible volunteers, and take part in more initiatives and fundraising in the year ahead!"
Aidan Taggart, Giving Back Pillar Lead at Version 1
Further fundraising events and volunteering opportunities are planned throughout the partnership, including a raffle, summer party and a festive jumper day where all staff can take part together to raise funds and awareness for Samaritans.

“It’s thanks to the amazing support of partners like Version 1 that we can continue to be there, 24 hours a day, every day of the year. This partnership will allow us to invest further in our services so we can reach more people, and are there for anyone struggling to cope, both now and in the future.”
Sarah Scott, Corporate Account Manager at Samaritans
Last year, Samaritans volunteers spent more than 900,000 hours responding to calls for help. The funds raised through this partnership with Version 1 will ensure we can continue to be there for people, whatever they’re facing.
