Price Bailey is proudly supporting Samaritans to help ensure there is always someone there to listen to anyone struggling to cope.
Our partnership began in April 2023 after the accountancy firm reinstated its charity partnership initiative following the pandemic. Focussing on staff fundraising efforts and volunteering, the partnership aims to help ensure Samaritans’ vital service can continue to be there 24/7, as well as enhancing the firm's mental health and wellbeing activities.

“Price Bailey is pleased to continue our second year of supporting Samaritans as our charity partner. Here at Price Bailey, we’re passionate about well-being, working hard to support our people through trained Mental Health Ambassadors and our 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme. For some people, they don’t have anywhere to turn in times of crisis, and that is where Samaritans can provide a lifeline to those in times of need. The passion and commitment to mental-health support displayed by the Samaritans team continues to resonate with the values of our organisation, and we look forward to continuing to work with the charity.”

2023
Throughout the first year of our partnership, Price Bailey colleagues took on a range of incredible activities to raise over £38,000 and counting in vital funds for Samaritans. These included quiz nights, the Three Peaks Challenge, bake sales and a team of colleagues who took on an epic motorbike ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats. Setting off at sunrise they completed the amazing 840-mile trip in 14 hours and 49 minutes.
Further fundraising highlights include:
- £5,520 raised through a Mera Peak Climb
- £12,847 raised at Price Bailey's Charity Day 2023
- £9,019 raised from colleagues running in the London Marathon

In addition to fundraising, Price Bailey colleagues have also supported Samaritans through a range of volunteering opportunities. Price Bailey’s ‘Giving Back to Others’ initiative enables colleagues to volunteer their time away from their day-to-day roles and team members have used these days creatively to volunteer at events such as the London Marathon, to hold a stall at a local fayre and to take part in fundraising activities.
2024
Now in the second year of our partnership, Price Bailey has been organising even more fundraising events and volunteering opportunities, including a 24 Peaks Challenge and round two of the IT Team’s motorbike challenge where the team rode through 10 countries in a day! Price Bailey is also holding its second firm wide Charity Day in September 2024.

Price Bailey also does a fantastic job at raising awareness of Samaritans throughout the year, including around vital awareness raising dates such as Mental Health Awareness Week. In 2024, together we talked about the stigma around suicide, the importance of partnerships and how the support from Price Bailey has helped increase the number of new listening volunteers at Samaritans to give more support to those struggling to cope.
“Our partnership with Price Bailey is helping Samaritans to meet ever-evolving demands for support as we continue to live through uncertain and worrying times for many. It’s thanks to the amazing support of our partners, like Price Bailey, that we can continue to invest further in our services, ensuring we can be there, 24 hours a day, every day of the year. We are truly so grateful for this wonderful partnership which is driving our efforts to help more people who are struggling to cope.”

Every 10 seconds, Samaritans answers a call for help. The funds raised through the partnership will ensure we can continue to be there for people, whatever they’re facing. Together we can make change that saves lives.
