PwC chose Samaritans as one of its charity partners and aims to raise £200,000 by 2019.
That’s enough to help us train another 500 volunteers a year to be there for people who need us.
Employee fundraising
Employees are raising money through a range of fundraising events, volunteering their time to support us, and donating money to us through payroll giving.
In 2018, the Workplace and Secretarial teams organised ‘One Firm One Brew’ events across their UK offices, raising an impressive £9,700.
An impressive 17 PwC offices took part in the ‘One Firm One Brew’ event which celebrated the great British tradition of making time for a brew and conversation. All staff were encouraged to take a break from their work, have a cup of tea and a piece of cake, and catch-up with colleagues.
It was a great opportunity for people to take time out from their busy days to support each other, whilst raising money and awareness for Samaritans’ vital work.

The team at PwC also helped us pilot our ground-breaking Wellbeing in the City programme, which supports employees to improve their emotional wellbeing through a set of online learning resources.
