Great North Run 2024 - Samaritans Cheerer
This is an amazing opportunity to cheer on #TeamSamaritans at the largest half-marathon in the world!
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for you play an important role in making people feel valued and supported when running for Samaritans. You’ll help us to be the loudest and the proudest along the course, whilst creating a memorable experience for our runners.
As a Cheerer, your role is to cheer on our amazing team of Samaritans runners, whooping, clapping and making as much noise as possible.
This role will enable you to;
- Support our amazing marathon runners
- Have a prime viewing point along the course
- Engage with runners’ friends, family and other members of the public
Qualities and experience
No specific training is required, but we do ask that you come with,
- Enthusiasm and energy!
- A desire to give our runners a unique experience
And that you’re,
- Reliable and punctual
- A people person
- Enjoy being part of a team
- Comfortable being in a busy crowded environment
Development and support
- You will receive an in-depth briefing ahead of the event, so you’ll have everything you need for the day.
