Our Birmingham branch is looking for an electrician to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to ensure the electrical systems at the branch are functioning safely and effectively.

What's involved

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of all electrical components and report on condition.
  • Perform timely repairs and replacements for malfunctioning or damaged electrical elements (e.g. outlets, switches, wiring, breakers).
  • Install new electrical components and fixtures as needed (additional outlets, lighting fixtures, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical codes and regulations.
  • Advise on upgrades needed to bring systems up to current standards.
  • Respond quickly to emergency electrical issues and outages.
  • Maintain inventory of necessary supplies and tools.
  • Collaborate with leadership on larger electrical upgrade projects.

Qualities and experience:

  • Knowledge of regional electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical issues.
  • Ability to use testing equipment (voltage meter, oscilloscope, etc).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Time Commitment

The anticipated time commitment is around 10 hours per month.
