Unbiased is proudly supporting Samaritans, to help ensure there is always someone there for anyone struggling to cope.
With more than 27,000 regulated, independent advisers on its platform, unbiased.co.uk matches consumers to the right financial, mortgage or accountancy adviser.
From October 2022, for every enquiry that’s submitted and successfully matched to an adviser, Unbiased will donate 30p to Samaritans. Their aim is to raise £25,000 for Samaritans over the next twelve months, the equivalent of 5,000 calls for help.
Our partnership with Samaritans is incredibly important to us because financial and mental wellbeing are so closely intertwined. It’s vital that we can help people find the right information by connecting them to trusted financial expert support when they need it most. Our aim is to raise awareness of the support available from Samaritans, and help to ensure there is always somewhere there for those struggling to cope.
Nihal Pekbeken, Chief Commercial Officer of Unbiased
Every 10 seconds, Samaritans responds to a call for help. Financial worries are one of the top concerns mentioned by people who contact our volunteers. By supporting Samaritans, Unbiased wants to help ensure we can continue to be there 24/7 for anyone struggling to cope, no matter what.
Our partnership with Unbiased will help Samaritans to meet ever evolving demands for support as we continue to live through uncertain and worrying times for many. Samaritans is not only for the moment of crisis, we’re taking action to prevent the crisis, enabling human connection and conversations that can save lives. But we can’t do it alone. It’s thanks to the support of our partners, like Unbiased, that we can continue to invest further in our services, ensuring we can be there, 24 hours a day, every day of the year. This partnership will further drive our efforts to help more people, and we can’t wait to see what we will achieve together.
Head of Corporate Partnerships at Samaritans, Richard Amos
In 2021, Samaritans volunteers spent over one million hours responding to calls for help. The funds raised through the partnership will ensure we can continue to be there for people, whatever they’re facing. Together we can make change that saves lives.
