When Fatemah’s life was turned upside down, she turned to Samaritans for support. Years later, she's now a volunteer herself.
"During those tough times, I remember telling everyone that I was coping fine, but inside, I felt like I was drowning in sorrow and loneliness. I struggled to express the depth of my grief while also feeling anxious and worried about a physical diagnosis.
"I needed to seek comfort from loved ones, even though finding the right words seemed impossible at the time.
"Samaritans were there for me, and now I’m there for others. My message to all is to reach out, you're not on your own. If you're struggling to find the right words, don't hesitate to talk to someone you trust.
"Sharing your genuine feelings can be a powerful step towards healing and finding solutions. It’s OK to say how you’re truly feeling and say things are difficult and not going well."
