How to take part
- Give something up for 24 hours (like your smartphone, caffeine, or TV) or take something on for 24 hours (like gaming, watching movies, or making crafts).

24-Hour Challenge ideas
Give up one of these for 24 hours
- Social Media: Take a TikTok break and an Instagram intermission. Forego Facebook and ex out of X.
- Coffee/Caffeine: Skip your coffee, tea, or energy drink hit for 24 hours.
- Smartphone: Go phoneless for a full day.
- Junk Food: Abstain from fast food, sweets, and other fun foods.
- Television/Streaming Services: No watching TV, Netflix, or other streaming services.
- Video Games: No video games, whether on consoles, PCs, or mobile devices.
- Driving/using your car: Walk, bike, or use public transport instead of driving.
- Talking: Take a vow of silence for 24 hours.

- Read-a-thon: Read books for 24 hours.
- Gaming marathon: Play video games for 24 hours straight. (You could stream on Twitch and ask your followers to donate.)

- Get crafty: Make art or crafts for 24 hours.
- Outdoor survival challenge: Spend 24 hours outdoors, camping, or in nature.
- Cycle-a-thon: Cycle for 24 hours, either individually or in relay teams.
- Language immersion: Speak and immerse yourself in a new language for 24 hours.

- Walk or run 24,000 steps.

Can I do my challenge on a different date?
Yes! Wednesday, 24th July (24/7) is Samaritans Awareness Day, but if that date doesn't suit you, pick a date in July that does!
