Trusted financial advice platform unbiased.co.uk announces a charity partnership with Samaritans, to help support their vital, 24/7 emotional support service.
For every customer enquiry that’s submitted via unbiased.co.uk and successfully matched to a financial adviser, Unbiased will donate 30p to Samaritans - aiming to hit a total of £25,000 over the next twelve months.
Our partnership with Samaritans is incredibly important to us because financial and mental wellbeing are so closely intertwined. It’s essential that we can help people find the right information by connecting them to trusted financial expert support when they need it most. Our aim is to raise vital funds and awareness of the support available from Samaritans and help to ensure there is always someone there for those struggling to cope.
Nihal Pekbeken, CCO at Unbiased
Financial worries are one of the many concerns mentioned by people who contact Samaritans, and the charity is beginning to see a small and gradual increase in calls for help from people who are worried about their finances. Research commissioned by Unbiased this year revealed that three-quarters of those aged 50 and over are worried about how the cost of living will impact their retirement, with one in two (53%) fearing that they won’t have enough income to survive financially when they stop working.
Our partnership with Unbiased will help Samaritans to meet ever evolving demands for support as we continue to live through uncertain and worrying times for many. It’s thanks to the support of our partners, like Unbiased, that we can continue to be there, 24 hours a day, every day of the year. This partnership will bolster our efforts to help more people, and we can’t wait to see what we will achieve together.
