Over 2,000 Aon employees have accessed Wellbeing in the Workplace tools. Barbara shares her experience of using the tool and its impact.
"At Aon, we recognise emotional wellbeing is as important as physical health and have created several offerings to support our colleagues. We chose Samaritans because the charity has a strong focus on working with employers to create a happier and healthier workplace through a comprehensive online learning programme, which complements our approach.
"The Wellbeing in the Workplace tool helps our colleagues to develop the skills to better look after their emotional health, and to look out for others by simply asking “are you ok?”.
"As a result, we have raised awareness on the importance of emotional and mental health, and increased colleagues’ confidence to reach out to those who might be struggling to cope. The tool has been particularly useful for line managers and for our Mental Health First Aiders Community.
"Over 2,000 colleagues have signed up to Wellbeing in the Workplace so far. We’ve received positive feedback on the launch of the programme and on our other wellbeing initiatives.
"We would recommend working with Samaritans for any organisation looking for a comprehensive online learning programme which suits the busy pace of work life. There are customisable options to suit your organisation and resources you have internally.”
