York Samaritans are running the Yorkshire Corporate Relay Marathon 2022 to raise vital funds so that we can continue our valuable work.
Following our hugely successful first foray into marathon running in 2019, York Samaritans have once again decided to take on the challenge and have entered two teams of volunteers to run in the Yorkshire Corporate Relay Marathon on Sunday 16th October 2022.
As well as their listening duties they are finding time for intensive training so watch out!!!

Samaritans support everyone, and Samaritans volunteers are everyone, and our running group is about supporting each other, and, showing others we’re just like them. We hope this will encourage people to use our service, and ensure Samaritans mission seeps into everyday lives…We're taking on the (26.2-mile) York marathon together, 18 volunteers in 3 teams of 6, to be seen in the streets of York so people know we're here to listen.
