Men are three to four times more likely to take their own lives than women. Samaritans’ Real People, Real Stories (RPRS) campaign aims to raise awareness of our service and encourage men to seek help
This year, our Real People, Real Stories campaign returns on 1 March 2022 and will run until 21 March 2022.
Supported by The NFU Mutual Charitable Trust and the Scottish Government, we'll be targeting men aged 18-65 in rural communities across the UK, who are finding life tough.
Throughout March, we'll be promoting positive stories of hope and recovery from men in these communities who have overcome tough times by seeking help and talking about how they’re feeling, to encourage others to do the same.
Sam lives in Selby, where he is a grower and wholesaler of field vegetables. Sam shares his experience with farming, mental health and the importance of seeking help.
