Every day, we need someone like you. We need more volunteers at South West Herts so we can continue to be there for people when it matters.
There are different ways you can volunteer for Samaritans in South West Herts. You could become a Listening Volunteer at our Watford Branch, helping us to answer calls and messages from people who need some support. Or there are a range of other opportunities to help with running the branch – for example fundraising, admin and publicity as a Support Volunteer. It all depends on what you're good at and what you've got time for.
For me, the most important thing about volunteering at Samaritans is knowing that I can be there for our callers when they need support. What surprised me was everything else I got from being a part of the charity. I've learned vital skills, made lifelong friends, and opportunities have opened up that I never thought of before!
