Our volunteers have been talking to passersby about how starting a simple conversation could save someone's life.
Stockport & District Samaritans joined with Manchester & Salford Branch and Network Rail to run an event at Manchester Piccadilly Station earlier this month.
The aim was to raise awareness about the need to trust your instincts and start a simple conversation if you think someone might need help.
Here are volunteers with Andy Burnham (Mayor of Greater Manchester) and Bev Craig (Leader of Manchester City Council).
It was a successful day with many passengers coming up for a chat and a coffee.
