At Samaritans we know there’s no such thing as ‘Blue Monday’ and that feeling low isn’t just reserved for Mondays or a random day in January.
Brew Monday is a Samaritans' takeover of ‘Blue Monday’ – the third Monday in January, which is often dubbed ‘the most difficult day of the year’ (although there’s no scientific evidence to back this up).
Over 100 Samaritans branches, turned out for Brew Monday on January 15th. Volunteers from the Stockport Branch were at Stockport Station and distributed 500 teabags to commuters. We were joined by Stockport MP, Navendu Mishra.
We were also invited to give a talk to Tilbury Douglas, the construction company who are carrying out a full-scale remodelling of Stepping Hill Hospital’s Emergency Department.
