Welcome!

Welcome to Sevenoaks Samaritans, a vibrant team of over 100 volunteers who help create a safe place to talk for people struggling to cope. We’re one of Samaritan’s newest hubs, established back in 2019, but since then we have made a huge impact. In fact, in 2023 we took over 20,000 calls, spending 10,000 hours listening to our callers.

Our outreach activities are expanding as we become more visible in the community. Our team will be attending different outreach activities throughout the year; keep an eye on this page for updates!

Sevenoaks Samaritans Concert: Piano Favourites Recital

Join us in concert with internationally renowned concert pianist and composer, Simon Proctor, with all proceeds going to Sevenoaks Samaritans!

Spend an evening enjoying both original works along with well-known favourites and arrangements to suit all ages, including:

  • Clair De Lune
  • Ride of the Valkyries
  • A lively arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody
  • And many many more!

Not only is this a great local cause to support but it is a fantastic opportunity to listen to a top flight performance without having to travel to and pay London prices. His compositions have been conducted by film composer John Williams and he is doing this performance for FREE ahead of his future tours to Hong Kong and Vietnam.

Grab your ticket today and support your local Samaritans!

What is being a Sevenoaks Samaritan like?

There are so many ways you can get involved, whether it's answering our calls or supporting our branch to continue running its essential service. Check out the main Samaritans website to read a little more about the different types of volunteer roles.

Help support our hub!

Our Sevenoaks hub relies entirely on donations from the public, businesses and other organisations. It costs around £36,000 a year to run our operation. Please help us answer more calls for support at this crucial time. Any gift you feel able to give will help us continue to support those who are struggling to cope. Your donation could help save a life!

  • £3 to answer a call for someone in need of support.
  • £95 to keep our branch open for a day.
  • £250 to train a listening volunteer.

Or, text SAMS7OAKS to 70470 to donate £7.
