Samaritans is a critical service which in today’s climate is needed now more than ever. We need to recruit, train and develop more listening volunteers and this requires funding. Contributions from RunReigate will enable us to maintain our branch and to recruit more volunteers to support our service not only on the ‘phones and our online chat pilot service, but also by enabling us to go into the local community to engage with local schools, businesses, the railways, NHS, events and prisons. We want to be there for people who may be struggling to cope and who need someone to listen without judgement or pressure.
