Peterborough Samaritans attended UCP's Employability and Vounteering Days
Peterborough Samaritans were invited by University Centre Peterborough to attend their Employability and Volunteering days and we visited the university on 12th and 13th February. There were several organisations in attendance along with a number of employment agencies and charities. We made good contacts with some of those who were represented which will hopefully lead to opportunities for us going forward.
There was a fair bit of interest in the work we do, and encouragingly, several expressions of interest from students and others about becoming a Samaritan in the future.
UCP are holding two Stress Busting events in the next couple of months and we have been invited to attend which we will be doing.
