Back O’ the Net – For Match Ball Sponsor
Samaritans of Pendle, Burnley, Craven & Rossendale will again be attending Burnley F.C.'s match at Turf Moor on Sat. 13th April as official 'match ball sponsor'.
With an anticipated crowd of over 20,000, it represents an ideal opportunity for Samaritans to promote awareness of our activity to a key target audience.
If we can achieve early intervention at a time of emotional need then we are going a long way towards doing our job.
Coordinating the event, Alan Ingham adds:
"Our team on the day will consist of 20 volunteers distributed at strategic points around the ground. Handing out information and engaging with fans, the day will, if last year's feedback is anything to go by, prove a huge success. I'd just like to thank in advance everyone due to take part."
Victoria Haworth, branch director added:
"In terms of awareness, this sponsorship has been our flagship event over the last few years.
The demographic reach, in respect of our vulnerable callers is an ideal fit.
If we can achieve early intervention at a time of emotional need then we are going a long way towards doing our job."
"I would like to extend my personal thanks to Alan and his team for all their hard work-putting up (and taking down) of stands, posters, banners and of course working the crowds in the customary empathetic, congenial and professional way we've come to expect from Samaritans."
