As we look forward to a permanent hybrid working world, it’s more important than ever to focus on listening in the workplace.
Join Oxford Samaritans this February for a 30 minute virtual lunchtime session all about listening between the lines.
As we look forward to a permanent hybrid working world, it’s more important than ever to focus on listening in the workplace. This can be tricky when our conversations aren’t always face to face and we may be working with colleagues we’ve never even met offline before. Sometimes, it’s what is not being said that is the most important part of a conversation.
This event will be hosted by an experienced Samaritans listener who will share guidance on how to navigate difficult and challenging conversations to ensure the most positive outcome.
In this session we will cover
- How to be a good listener, the art of active listening & the magic ingredient ‘empathy’
- How to tune in to what may lie behind the words
- Tips on how to interpret non-verbal language (online and in person)
- There will be 10 mins at the end of the session for questions and discussion
