Congratulations and thanks to Studley Wood Golf Club who raised a phenomenal £4,200 for Oxford Samaritans.
Captain of the Seniors, Stephen, organised the team’s annual charity day. This year Oxford Samaritans were chosen by the Seniors for their support.
96 golfers took part and together through their golf day have fundraised £4,200.

“We were grateful to Studley Wood Golf Club for supporting Oxford Samaritans as part of their Seniors Captain’s Charity Day and for raising so much money for our Branch. The day was a huge success and allowed us to offer an overview of our service to those taking part too. As Samaritans we listen to anyone, whoever they are, whatever they've done. Whatever life's done to them. And the generosity and support of Studley Wood Golf Club means that we can continue to be there for our callers. I always feel grateful that there's a service out there, that you can call for free, no matter what you've done, where you'll be listened to and heard by another human being, without judgement. Someone who will take you seriously and listen, not just offer platitudes or superficial 'quick fixes'. Any of us might need to call Samaritans at some point in our lives".

Our thanks to all at the club, to the players who took part and to their supporters.
