From Norwich Station to Cromer Pier, we love getting out and about in Norfolk! Here's a snapshot of what we get up to in Nelson's County:
The Big Listen is a great day to get out in Norwich city centre. I have so many people come up to me just to say "thank you". Best day of the year.

Raising Awareness
Fancy a cuppa? Or two? Or three?
We love to take part in organisation-wide campaigns like Brew Monday and The Big Listen. It's a great chance for us to get down to our local station or the Haymarket and chat to lovely Norwich folk about our service - and paint the town green!
Supporting Events
Norfolk has such a diverse arts community. We have supported some fantastic people doing their bit to raise awareness through plays, dance solos, and film screenings.
We can provide a Samaritans presence at these events, offering emotional support where needed.
We're also happy to provide a presence for support groups during events like International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day.
Talks & Training
Schools
We deliver talks to young people about recognising emotional needs in themselves, and help them develop the confidence to talk to people they trust.
We also attend school wellbeing fairs which can be a great chance to talk to young people and parents about expressing feelings.
Universities
As well as giving wellbeing talks to students at UEA and NUA, we deliver training to student nurses and Nightline volunteers to assist their work with vulnerable people.
Local Businesses
We deliver talks to staff about our work, looking after their own wellbeing in the workplace, and listening to their colleagues.
Community Groups
Church congregations, rotary clubs, WI groups, carers and Men's Breakfasts - we deliver talks to a number of community organisations and charities in Norfolk.
We also help to train NHS volunteers in suicide awareness, to assist in their community work with vulnerable people.
