Norwich Samaritans’ two charity shops will be closed on Monday 19 September to allow its volunteers to pay their respects to the Queen.
The decision comes as many other businesses around the city – and country – will be shutting their doors on the day, a designated Bank Holiday.
The two shops, at 17 Westlegate in the city centre and 321a Aylsham Road, will be open as normal from Tuesday 20 September.
Samaritans’ helpline will be open as normal on Monday: anyone who needs emotional support can call 116 123 or email [email protected] at any time of the day or night.
