Our Fundraising mission...
Can you support us in our mission to raise funds
Norwich Samaritans has become the face of the Eastern Daily Press’s Christmas campaign as it looks to raise £750,000 to fund a vital re-building effort.
The branch, at St Stephen’s Square in the centre of the city, first opened in 1964 and our volunteers have been giving emotional support to thousands of people that that need it every year ever since.
But our dedicated volunteers, who have been keeping the branch maintained and patched up, can only do so much and now we have put forward plans to completely refurbish the branch so it remains fit for years to come.
The branch currently has roof and floor problems as well as issues with damp, but planning permission has now been sought from Norwich City Council and - if approved - the refurbished building will hopefully be completed by 2024 when Norwich Samaritans will turn 60.
However, we need some support from the local community to be able to fund this project.
