Our annual M&Co Northallerton fashion show was held on Monday, 13th November and was a great success
The audience were arriving and eagerly buying their entrance tickets, at just £3.00 each, then racing over to the raffle table where branch volunteers Sarah, Sue and John were doing a roaring trade. Meanwhile the models, who had turned up earlier, were getting changed into their first outfits of the evening – anticipation and excitement was mounting throughout the room.
Seats now taken, the lively audience were welcomed by Victoria the Manager of M&Co to this 4th Samaritans Fashion Show. She then introduced Sheryl who explained to the audience what Samaritans are all about.
Then the models, one by one, erupted onto the catwalk! They marched, they walked, they sashayed, they were professional, they were funny and they had bags of attitude.
Julie Fraser, who had been commissioned to take the photographs for the evening and who very kindly gave her time for free, got busy taking shots of the models. The audience knew what to expect from our Samaritans Fashion Show and they were not disappointed, they clapped and cheered every model.
Talking of models, our very own John, donning an alluring bright green wig, strutted his stuff up and down and looked to be thoroughly enjoying himself. On the night we raised £418.55 which is fantastic.
Without Sue arranging the event and everyone who helped along the way, the models who turned up and performed so magnificently on the night, without M&Co giving us such a wonderful arena for us to hold the show it would never happen, so a huge thank you to everyone who helped and who participated and who came along to watch THANK YOU!!!
