Join us for this exciting 'bucket list' challenge
We need your support at our 'red hot' 2023 fundraising challenge, open to individuals or teams alike
We are holding a spectacular Firewalk Event (using a specialist national company) at Northallerton Rugby Club on Saturday 1st April 2023. We have space for up to 100 participants who are willing to walk on hot coals. Full training will be given before the walk and we hope you brave ‘soles’ will find it an empowering experience.
It looks set to be a fun evening, we are planning a hog roast (with vegetarian option available), the bar will be open, and we hope your family and friends will join us to cheer you on! Should we have inclement weather, the Firewalk can still happen, and the Rugby Club has room for all to find shelter.
We are a small rural branch, one of more than 200 Samaritans branches across the UK and Ireland, and we have been supporting the North Yorkshire community since 1964. All money raised at the Firewalk will help us be there for anyone who finds themselves in emotional distress and needs someone to talk to, in complete confidence, without judgement, whether by phone, email, letter, or in person.

After registering, you will receive a welcome pack with details of how to create your own page on our fundraising platform, as well as a sponsor form should your sponsors prefer to sign up 'old school', then you are all set to start fundraising!
- Registration fee is: £25 non-refundable
- Minimum sponsorship is £150 per person
