Volunteers wanted! Come along to our Information Evening on Monday, 19th August at 7.30pm to find out how you can make a difference with the Samaritans of Newry & Dundalk.
The Samaritans of Newry & Dundalk are looking for people to come on board as listening volunteers.
With the Samaritans receiving over 5.7million contacts each year, we want to recruit some new volunteers to help make sure there is always someone there to listen to people in need.
We know how important it is to have someone to talk to and for millions of people, the Samaritans is that voice at the end of the phone line.
You don't have to have any particular experience, just the desire to help others and the ability to listen and be open-minded. The only criteria is that you are over 18 years of age.
We are holding an information evening for anyone who might be interested in volunteering with us. This will be at 7.30pm on Monday 19th August 2019, in our branch office at 19 St. Colman's Park, Newry.
There is absolutely no obligation or pressure so why not come along, have a chat with some of our volunteers and find out how you can make a difference.
You can also visit www.samaritans.org/volunteer to find out more about what our volunteers do.
