Brew Monday is the campaign started by Samaritans to counter ‘Blue Monday’, which falls on the third Monday of January and is often referred to as ‘the most difficult day of the year’
In order to raise awareness of the campaign, and of the Manchester and Salford Samaritans branch in general, we will be basing ourselves at Manchester Victoria railway station between 08:30 and 12:30.
We will have posters and banners, and most importantly, our volunteers who will be speaking with commuters and sharing the message about thinking of those close to you and reaching out to share a drink over a good catch up to see how they are.
If you are interested in helping out on the day, then please contact Sophia - [email protected]
We can always make time for a cuppa and a catch-up. It doesn’t matter if it’s a Monday morning or Saturday night, or if you’re drinking green tea, black coffee or orange juice. If you’re sharing a cuppa and listening, you’re doing it right.
