It’s more important than ever that we stay in touch with each other, even if we have to keep physically distanced.
On 18th January, it's Samaritans Brew Monday. We’ll be turning the third Monday in January, which is usually known as ‘Blue Monday’, on its head, and into something positive by encouraging people to get together over a virtual brew.
It's a great opportunity to reach out to a friend, family member or colleague for a chat with a virtual cuppa. Of course, it doesn’t have to be a Monday or a cup of tea, simply taking time to listen to another person could help them work through what’s on their mind.
Now more than ever, sharing a brew together is more than a drink – it's about reaching out, checking in and staying connected.
Have a Brew Monday, on any Monday, or a day that’s good for you.
There are several ways you can virtually connect:
- Set up a group video or audio call on Zoom, Skype, Teams, WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger
- Alternatively, if people aren't so comfortable on camera, a phone call or conference call can work equally as well
Of course, if you're able to use your chat to raise money for Macclesfield Samaritans, you'll help give people having a tough time somewhere to turn when they need to talk and just £5 can help us answer a call for help.
Stay connected, get everyone together for a virtual cuppa and raise money for Macclesfield Samaritans.
