Macclesfield & District Samaritans relies entirely on donations to carry out its valuable work.
Our volunteers take around 16,500 phone calls and respond to thousands of emails & online chats a year, and as well as offering a listening service to anyone having a difficult time or struggling to cope, we are actively involved in the wider community. Macclesfield & District Samaritans branch relies entirely on donations to carry out this valuable work, and all support is gratefully received.
When you fundraise for Samaritans you help us be there for those who need us most. Whether it's a an event such as a bake sale, sponsored walk or multi-day cycle ride, or donations via text, online or through corporate partnering, we're grateful for every contribution to the branch.

Fundraising Events
Macclesfield Samaritans volunteers and our supporters regularly get involved in fundraising events to support the branch, and current events are listed below.
I will be taking part in 2 world major marathons - the Boston marathon on 17th April 2023 and the London marathon on 23rd April 2023 - both just 6 days apart. With a fair bit of training (and twinges) up to now, it is time to taper and try to raise some much needed funds for the charity - Samaritans.
