Through our partnership with Aintree University Hospital, since 2018 we have been operating an Outreach at their Emergency Department. In July 2020, at the height of the Coronavirus pandemic, we installed our unique Samaritans Phone in the Emergency Department to enable staff and patients alike access to our listening service. Our Outreach is one of only a few in the country and in recognition of the work we do, we were nominated for an award for the 2019 PENNA Patient Experience Excellence Awards where we were runners up in over 2,000 entries.
