Lincoln Samaritans Fundraising

Did you know it costs nearly £40,000 a year to keep Lincoln Samaritans open? It costs £5 to answer a call from someone in emotional distress and Samaritans volunteers respond to a call for help every 10 seconds. It costs £200 to train a new volunteer so they can be prepared to support our callers. Getting involved is easy; you can join our fundraising team, or just give us a bit of your time, every now and again, with one of our fundraising events. Of course, there's nothing stopping you do your own thing to raise money, from holding a cake sale to a sponsored parachute jump, just do what you can as every penny counts.
