Why we need to raise funds...
We're dependent on fundraising to keep going, as we receive no government funding.
The Ipswich branch costs £65,000 a year to operate - that's £165 per day.
"Fundraising is essential to keep our branch running. It also helps to build our profile and relationship with the local community." - Support Volunteer
Why not read the information below and find out how you can support us through fundraising initiatives or by making donations.
Fundraising for us
You could run a fundraising event for us. Our fundraising activities are varied, and all money raised goes towards keeping our service open 24/7.
Over recent years, people have raised funds for us through the following activities:
- sponsored walks
- running half or full marathons
- raffles
- skydiving
- coffee mornings
- barn dances
- jazz concerts
You don't have to be a Samaritans volunteer to raise money for us. But if you're interested in running fundraising events as a support volunteer see the volunteering link here.
Making a donation
You can now make a donation to us.
Donations can be made in a variety of ways, including:
- Donating at our awareness events
