The outreach team attended the West Grinstead ploughing match last week to show support for the local farming community.
The ploughing match was a great success!
Despite the poor weather, the Horsham and Crawley Samaritans branch were very glad to be in attendance at the event.
We had quite a few people and organisations come by and say how glad they were to see us back. Whether it’s at these events or on the phones, we're here to support the farming community when they need us.
The interactions we had with the public were a breath of fresh air and it’s clear that showing up makes all the difference. We’re here, rain or shine, to lend a helping hand—or, in our case, a listening ear.
Thank you all that supported before and during.
Our presence was like a well-placed tractor in a muddy field—reassuring, dependable, and there to help when things get tough.
Lulu on the importance of the Samaritans being present in the farming community.
