The Horsham and Crawley Samaritans spent yesterday afternoon offering present wrapping and a chat to those doing some last minute Christmas shopping.
A handful of Horsham and Crawley Samaritans set up by John Lewis in Horsham to offer free gift wrapping and a natter for anyone passing by.
With a trolley full of paper and basket full of ribbon, the volunteers were ready and waiting for presents big and small.
The wrapping service was free but there was the opportunity to donate if you wanted to. We were surprised and grateful to all those who donated even when we didn't wrap anything for them!
Horsham's very own Christmas elves supplied a helping hand to the Christmas shoppers.
It was heart warming to witness people being so generous, especially at Christmas when people are already giving so much. The public allow us to continue the work we do and we couldn't do it without their continued generosity.

Not only was this a lovely opportunity to give back to the public, it also gave us the chance to remind people who Samaritans are and the important work they do. Cards and leaflets were handed out and people were encouraged to call the free helpline on 116 123, if they ever needed emotional support.
A big thank you to the Manager of John Lewis for his kindness and support in letting us run this fundraiser. We hope to be back next year.
