An important message on a fun day
Players wore Samaritans T-shirts for the match and volunteers were available to answer questions about the work of Samaritans.
Samaritans of Horsham and Crawley Branch Director, Chris Holland attended the event. Chris was appointed as chief photographer and captured some great photos.
Samaritans volunteers were available to answer questions about the services provided by Samaritans, and to raise public awareness that Samaritans are available, day and night.
The listening service can be contacted free from any phone on 116 123, 24 hours a day and is there for anyone to talk about anything that is on their mind, in complete confidence.
This was a really fun day out for all the family and enabled Samaritans volunteers to be visible to members of the local community. We want to get the message across that we are here for everyone. Anyone can call us, in confidence, about anything that is worrying them.

A perfect family day out
The idyllic setting of the cricket club, the wonderful offering in the pavilion and the great cricket match made this event a fantastic family day out whilst raising funds and promoting an important message.
This was a fantastic day out at Nuthurst Cricket Club. It was positive on so many levels. The raising funds to help us help others, increasing awareness of what we do, and in such a welcoming environment for our volunteers. There was such a feeling of community and Thank you for inviting us back next year - our team are booking time in the nets already… Very grateful to you all at NCC.
