Our amazing Friends Fundraising team get up to all kinds of fun throughout the year and raise an incredible amount of money for our branch. Their fundraising adventures include:
- Attending local events such as the Letchworth Armed Forces Day.
- Organising special events like the highly successful Rock Choir concerts.
- Holding collections at railway stations, supermarkets and in town centres.
- Taking part in sponsored events such as the Samaritans National Walk.
Without our wonderful Friends volunteers, we would not have the funds we need to keep your local branch open, providing a listening ear to anyone in need.
We are always in need of new volunteers to bring their enthusiasm and ideas to our fundraising team, so if you would like to get involved please contact us and we will be in touch.
For more information on upcoming fundraising activities, head to our events page.
Taking on a challenge or holding a fundraising activity in your workplace?
If you have a challenge coming up and you have decided to collect sponsorship funds to support our work, we would love to hear all about it. Whether it's running, cycling, swimming or even baking, whatever you are doing to raise funds for your local Samaritans branch, let us know! We can set up online donation pages and share your exciting news to help you reach your fundraising goal and answer any questions you may have about us and our work.
If you wish to fundraise in your workplace we can help you with information leaflets about our service and provide you with collecting cans etc.
