Hastings Samaritans attended Out Of The Blue's 4th charity run in support of mental health and mental wellbeing charities.
Out Of The Blue is a fundraising body established in memory of Will Beckett, who took his own life at Beachy Head in 2013, and has since had four charity runs at Ashburnham in Battle in support of mental health and mental well-being charities.
The most recent charity run was held last Thursday, the 10th of May 2018, which raised funds for Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team, Dragonflies@FSN, Winston's Wish, and CALM. Over 200 people ran the 10k and 5k races, as well as there being a well-attended children's race.
Hastings Samaritans were invited to set up a stand at the event in order to raise awareness of what we do, and to let people know that we're here to listen. We are very thankful to Out Of The Blue for this incredible opportunity to all come together and show our support for mental health and well-being. We would also like to say a big thank you to all the lovely attendees who visited our stand and talked to our volunteers.
