Welcome to the Hastings and Rother branch of Samaritans, located in Hastings town centre.
Last year, Hastings and Rother Samaritans celebrated 60 years of listening. We took our first call in 1963 and a lot has changed in the world since those early days but our service remains the same.
We are passionate about supporting our community outside the branch and we raise awareness of who we are and what we do by being a presence at events in the area, such as Gay Pride, Hastings Bonfire, Carnival, Men’s Mental Health day to name a few.
We give talks about emotional health and wellbeing to schools, colleges, businesses, clubs, and other organisations.
If you would like us to give a talk, please get in touch - with Hastings outreach team.
It costs around £35 a day to run our branch – that works out to over £1,000 a month, and almost £13,000 a year - and we are entirely self- funding. Without vital donations from the public, we wouldn’t be able to continue to give our service. You can donate directly to Hastings and Rother branch by clicking the donate button near the top of this page.
