Great Yarmouth Samaritans were among hundreds of community heroes saluted for their amazing contribution to life in the county during a poignant ceremony at the Royal Norfolk Show.
In recognition of the King’s wish to promote the local community and volunteering, volunteers from Great Yarmouth Samaritans joined hundreds of community champions in the grand ring on Wednesday 28th June.
The tribute, organised in partnership with the Norfolk Lieutenancy and the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association, featured people from all walks of life who give countless hours supporting a wide range of good causes.

The champions were addressed by the Lord Lieutenant of Norfolk The Lady Dannatt. She said: "Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your contribution in this wonderful county.
"His majesty is as proud of you as I am and wanted to pass his immense thanks and congratulations to you all."
