Great Yarmouth Samaritans teamed up with Asda to spread the message
On Monday 16th January volunteers from Great Yarmouth Samaritans were at Asda in Great Yarmouth to turn 'Blue Monday' into 'Brew Monday'.
The third Monday in January is sometimes referred to as ‘the most difficult day of the year’ but this is a myth. At Samaritans we know there’s no such thing as ‘Blue Monday’ – we all have our good days and our bad days, and those aren’t for the calendar to decide.
So we were at Asda to help stop this myth about Monday being 'blue' and instead start a conversation over a brew! The message we were wanted the people of Great Yarmouth to hear was: reach out and connect with family, friends, colleagues and loved ones.

We also raised a fantastic £145 and spoke to lots of Asda's lovely customers - thank you to everyone who donated and stopped for a chat. We are hoping to return in the summer.
