On 20 January 2025, we were back with Brew Monday to encourage everyone to get together for a cuppa and a catch-up.
Brew Monday is a Samaritans takeover of ‘Blue Monday’ – the third Monday in January, which was incorrectly dubbed ‘the most difficult day of the year,’ but was in fact invented by a travel company to sell more holidays in January.
At Samaritans we know there’s no such thing as ‘Blue Monday’ and that feeling low isn’t just reserved for Mondays or a random day in January. So we’re saying out with the blue and in with the brew! It doesn’t matter if it’s a Monday morning or Saturday night, or if you’re drinking green tea, black coffee or orange juice. If you’re sharing a cuppa and listening, you’re doing it right.
On Brew Monday we encourage the public to reach out and connect with those they care about.
Gloucester Samaritans visited:
- Gloucester Station
- Stroud Station
- The Phoenix Centre
- St. Oswald's Retirement Village
An amazing day of tea-drinking and listening.
