One of our fantastic volunteers is making and selling her wonderful marmalade to raise funds for our branch. She’s doing an awesome job of helping to keep our funds going while fundraising events are being cancelled month by month due to the Coronavirus lockdown!
My foray into marmalade production started when I needed to raise money for a project in Ecuador. When I returned from digging for La Ciudad Feliz (the Happy City), I was encouraged to continue making it, hence the next project - the Samaritans of Farnborough & District.
I began production in time for Christmas 2019 and was able to sell it to unsuspecting Samaritans Volunteers coming on duty at our branch in Farnborough. Thus far we’ve raised over £170, small fry but every little helps, hey?
Overall, I’ve made over 10,000 jars for Ecuador...... maybe a big stretch for Farnborough branch, but I’m onto it!!
