Four S2 students from St Columba's RC High School Dunfermline, Sorcha, Anya, Grace and Olivia, chose Samaritans of Dunfermline as their charity for their YPI Scheme (Youth and Philanthropy Initiative Scotland*). They had to research the charity and make a 15 minute presentation to their class. They were voted through to the final of the competetion by their classmates and came second in the overall final. The final was judged by a representative of the YPI Scheme Scotland and two other adults. In completing their research the girls had to undertake a huge amount of research into mental health and the work we do at Samaritans of Dunfermline.
We wholeheartedly applaud the efforts of these young students in advertising the aims of Samaritans and highlighting our work to all of their peers and teachers. Very well done indeed girls.
